Ambiguity is a covert Rorschach test. Our brains are constantly searching for information and attributing meaning to it. In the absence of information, it would rather hallucinate meaning than have none at all. That's why the wall plug is smiling at me.
When someone is quiet. Avoids eye contact. Doesn't make conversation. Do they hate you? Do they think they're better than you? Or are they just shy? The same input can yield wildly different output, based on the landscape of the mind interpreting it. You don't interpret things in a void; everything is stained with your own psyche. And the less information there is, the more blanks there are for your mind to fill.
While inside a void, some people will yell out their own names, mistaking the echo for a conversation. That's the test.
